It was an interesting time because things were in disarray at the base
immediately following the assassination of President John. F. Kennedy. We
had a brief base lock down, cancelled leaves, and training schedules were
thrown off a bit. I don't have a list of all graduates in this
picture. I'm kneeling on the bottom row, third from the right, A3C
Otto Rueger Jr. After graduation, I went to Sheppard AFB for 3 1/2 years
supporting various missions including B-52/KC-135 support for the 494th; German
Air Force training (T-37s/T-38s; and helicopter flight training for the
Vietnamese. My most memorable NCIOCs were Robert M. Burris (one of the
finest people I've ever met) and a real character, CMSGT Gladstone Grigsby.
