 Michael D. ( Mick) McGrail,
age 62 of Navarre, Fla., passed away Jan. 2, 2008, after a courageous
two-year battle with kidney cancer.
Mick was born on March 19, 1945, in Martin's Ferry, Ohio. He proudly served 20 years in the
United States Air Force, retiring from 16th SOS at Hurlburt
Field in 1983. While on active duty, Mick served one year in Vietnam. His
military career was spent primarily in the field of aircrew life support and
as a recruiter. After retiring from the Air Force, Mick opened his own
business, American House Plans. As a residential custom home and commercial
designer, Mick served Okaloosa, Walton, Santa Rosa
and Escambia counties for 25 years.
Mick's passion and priority in life was his family. He cherished being a
husband, father and was a dedicated grandfather. He was extremely active and
enjoyed running boating, swimming, bike riding and hiking. Over the years,
Mick participated in several triathlons and charitable runs.
