HAMPTON - Senior Master Sergeant
Christopher Bush was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 9, 2007,
in his home, at 1:30 p.m.
He was born Jan. 15, 1951 to Dewayne and Queen Bush in Glen Allen, Va. He retired from
the U. S. Air Force after 26 years of service. He had been employed with the
U. S. Air Force Alpha and Omega Group as a contractor. He graduated from Christopher Newport University
and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science.
SMSgt Bush was a devoted member of St. James United Methodist Church in
Hampton where he was a lay leader and a musician who played the bass guitar.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife of 37 years, Vivian L.
Bush; his son, Michael O. Bush; his daughter, Ronda C. Davis (Gary); his son,
Derek L. Bush (Dawn); three granddaughters, Danielle Davis, Trinity Davis and
Tatiyana Bush; three sisters, Lynn Winters
(Lawrence), the Rev. Evon Bush, Wallyne
Rowley (Keith); two sisters-in-law, Eloise Hawley (Alfred) and Barbara
Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, at St. James
United Methodist Church, 1533 W.
Queen Street, Hampton,
with the Rev. Doris V. Madison officiating. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15th, at the funeral home and
two hours prior to the service, at the church on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions may be made to the
American Lung Association or the building fund of St. James United Methodist
Church.
